John Travolta Love Deepika Padukone

Hollywood veteran John Travolta will arrive in Mumbai this October to start work on his maiden Bollywood film, Shekhar Kapur's Paani. Chatting with the media on the sidelines of IIFA awards, the star of the iconic musicals Grease and Saturday Night Fever said music and dance were the "soul of his life", which is why he bears special love for Hindi cinema.

"It is music and dance that has strengthened the Bollywood connect for me. That is a universal theme that one cannot dismiss," said the 60-year-old as he arrived at Hotel Hilton in Tampa Bay along with Viraf Sarkari, the founderdirector of IIFA organiser Wizcraft.

Travolta then went on to reel off the names of Hindi movies he enjoyed watching - Krrish 3, 3 Idiots , Lagaan and Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram- Leela - before admitting his special love for a certain actress. "I loved the girl who appeared in the film made on Romeo and Juliet," Travolta said of Deepika Padukone.

John admitted that he enjoys Bollywood's "energy and life". "Hollywood can take lessons from Bollywood, which has a lot of unabashed confidence while film- making.

It is emotionally naked and beautiful, I must say. Hollywood at times gets a little too aware of its content," said Travolta.
